Small by design, generous by nature
Big casino floors can feel like airports. Ours feels like a private club in a country house. A handful of tables share the east parlour with original mouldings, a marble hearth and deep armchairs for watching a hand play out. Dealers take the time to explain the rules to first-timers, regulars get their favourite seat, and nobody is ever rushed.
Hotel guests and visitors are equally welcome. Settle in after a day on the Fundy trails, begin the evening with sandwiches and scones from our tea parlour, and simply walk upstairs when you are done. No car keys, no late drive home.

- You must be 19 years of age or older to enter the casino and play.
- Valid government-issued photo ID is required; we check ID at the door for every guest.
- Smart-casual attire, please. Balsam Parlour is a non-smoking house.
- Tables are open Thursday to Sunday from 6 pm to 1 am. We recommend reserving in advance.
- Only casino chips are used at the tables and are exchanged at the cashier desk.
Our casino operates in accordance with the 2003 law governing gaming and with all applicable provincial regulations of New Brunswick. Every game is supervised, fair-play procedures are posted at each table, and our staff are trained in responsible service.

Casino Questions
Do I need to stay at the inn to visit the casino?
No. The casino welcomes visitors as well as overnight guests. If you are staying with us, you can reserve casino seats when you book your room.
What is the minimum age?
You must be 19 or older to enter the casino, and we check government-issued photo ID for every guest.
I have never played before. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Early in the evening our dealers run short beginner sessions for blackjack and roulette, and they are always happy to explain a rule at the table.
Is there a dress code?
Smart casual. Leave the hiking boots by the door and you will fit right in.
Can we book a private table for a group?
Yes. Private tables for up to 12 guests can be arranged, with catering from our tea parlour. Call us to plan the details.
